Bio
Kevin William Grant is a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario and a Registered Counselling Therapist who has spent more than two decades helping people navigate emotional neglect, attachment and relationship difficulties, anxiety, burnout, life transitions, identity, intimacy, and the lasting effects of trauma.
His work is grounded in a simple belief: people are the experts on their own lives. Therapy is not about being told who you are, but about developing a deeper understanding of yourself through curiosity, honesty, and collaborative exploration. Kevin’s approach combines psychodynamic, attachment-based, cognitive, mindfulness, and solution-focused perspectives into a practical, compassionate style that helps clients move from surviving toward living.
Known for his direct yet caring approach, Kevin believes in telling the truth with kindness. Rather than offering rigid formulas or one-size-fits-all solutions, he works collaboratively with clients to create meaning together, encouraging them to keep what resonates, question what doesn’t, and ultimately develop greater trust in their own experience. His therapeutic philosophy is built on respect, curiosity, humility, and the belief that healing occurs within authentic relationships.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, Kevin built a successful career in technology, product management, innovation, and organizational leadership. This background gives him a practical understanding of the pressures faced by professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, and individuals navigating demanding careers alongside personal struggles.
Kevin is also an author whose work spans psychology, coaching, leadership, innovation, workplace wellbeing, and personal growth. His current writing focuses on emotional neglect, attachment, identity, and the lifelong journey of recovering a coherent sense of self. His upcoming book, Neglect: From Surviving to Living, brings together years of clinical experience, research, and thoughtful reflection to offer readers an honest, compassionate companion through the healing process.
Whether working with clients in psychotherapy or writing for a broader audience, Kevin’s goal remains the same: to create a space where people feel understood, respected, and empowered to make sense of their own lives with greater clarity, self-compassion, and hope.
